Sadly, I’ve not had much time over the last few days to get some drawing done. But, I have some creepy images for you all to view instead. The first one creeps me out big time.

They are by an artist called Koen Hauser and you can view more here.

Recently some of my friends have moved in together in Leeds, another city for me to explore whilst visiting. Although it’s strange having known them all since school, it’s an odd feeling knowing they all live under the same roof, I guess it’s a lot more convenient seeing them all! (And made me even more excited about moving into my new student house next week). The people that lived in the house before, left them a rather but creepy robin on a massive tree branch, obviously I took my Polaroid to it, like a moth to a flame. I should have some more sketches up over the next couple of days depending how productive I am. So, for now, peace and love.

Since getting back into art I guess opportunities pop up more often, even though your not doing the art, doesn’t mean your not involved. Today I helped a friend of mine with her uni project and let her Henna one of my feet, it’s the second time now I’ve modelled for her and i’m pretty sure it won’t be the last!

Although the festival was over a month ago now it still feels like we got back yesterday. For my first festival experience I absolutely loved it and I want to go again next year. I think if your a first timer at festivals IOW is perfect, it just seems so much more relaxed than all the stuff you see on T.V about Glasto etc. Not to mention that you get a lovely ferry ride and IOW is just one of the most beautiful places i’ve ever been, I defiantly want to go back on holiday at some point. So here is 2 of the 5 pictures we took there, as I don’t own a digital camera, there was only 2 of us and you have so much stuff to do all the time, the pictures are no-where near as fun as the time we had but still very arty 😛

I hope you like them.

When I said i’d bring back some nice sketches from my quick visit down to London yesterday, I had no idea that the sketches wouldn’t be coming from me. On the train home, a family sat around me on the table and these 2 adorable little girls were watching someone draw with fascination. When this person got of the train I asked the girls if they wanted to draw too? So I whipped out my sketch book and they decided to do some drawing. Although they got bored quickly (as children do) we sat and played with the games on my Iphone for the rest of the journey. Before they waved me off at the platform and I went home, after a LONG day of traveling, with the biggest grin on my face. Something do just melt your heart. So, here is drawings (the one of the left is me, she even picked out the strawberries on my top).

I’ve been drawing multiple things over the past few days (bought myself a nice new sketchbook so i’m not constantly looking for spare bits of plain paper). I have found however that some of my lovely (animal and non-animal related sketches) seem to be fighting to get noticed in the scanner, so thus, I cannot show you most of them and I don’t dare risk going over any of them in pen at fear of ruining them completely. Alas, I bring you a penguin, which is far from any weather we’ve got at the moment. So I hope you enjoy. I’ll be in and around London tomorrow to finish up my bit of the housing lark and as i’ll be spending over 4 hours on a train, i’m sure i’ll bring back some sketches for you all to gaze at. Peace my lovers.

Even then the scanner had a battle with this image and left a nice smudge effect on one side….oops!

Hey guys, thanks for all your suggestions, i’ll get round to some of them over the next week or so. But here’s one for now. It’s not great, seeing as Tapir’s are all black with white spots, so this doesn’t transfer well with line drawing but i tried to make it work! Enjoy. Oh and as for my friend John’s stop animation video, check it out here -> John’s Stop Animation.
